comm. arch. (コム・アーチ)は2014AWからJoe Mc のディレクションによりスタートしたメンズニットウェアブランド。日本国内紡績の糸を厳選し、現存する貴重なニットデザイナーや職人の連携（communication）によりニットウェア（architecture）が製作されている。とにかく、素材、作り、プロセスにこだわり、全てが”Fully Fashioned”(成型編み)された、心地よく長く着られるニットウェアを作っている。comm.arch. のニットウェアコレクションは、いわば日本の”BORN KNITTERS”の集大成ともいえる。

「毎日着たくなるニット」やはりこのブランドもこの言葉が一番しっくりくるように感じます。実際、自分自身のcomm.archの着用率はかなり大きいはず。。。自信を持ってオススメができるブランドですね。
主に東北地方の小さな規模で長年ニットを作り続けている腕の良い職人に作っていもらっているようです。シンプルなデザインに、ストレスを感じることなくニットの柔らかさを感じて着れるのがcomm.archですね。デザイナーとお話しできる機会があり、東北の山奥にあるニットつくりの仙人のような方にもこれから生産をお願いするみたいです。このブランドもこの人がつくっているの！？的な方です。よほど気に入られないと仕事の依頼は断るだとか。。。comm.arch.のデザイナーが曰く、なんで仕事を引き受けてくれたのか今でもわからないとのこと。。。きっと、ニットに対する思いが同じだからだと思います。
